Hi, I'm Andrea Sheehy

I have been a counsellor for over seventeen years and am individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and a member of The Institute of Transactional Analysis. I operate within both organisations' strict ethical guidelines to ensure safe and contained
clinical practice. I have over 4000 counselling hours experience mainly with couples I originally trained as a young persons counsellor, and went on to train with and work at RELATE the UK's leading couple counselling charity. I started up my private counselling practice in Hinckley in 2004. Additionally I have recently completed five years of advanced clinical training in
Transactional Analysis psychotherapy. I hold a certificate in psycho-sexual therapy..

My own personal counselling philosophy has always been a pragmatic one, and I draw upon my different training models and experience to suit each individual or couples personal needs and goals.

I enjoy working with couples very much and believe everyone has a right to a healthy and happy relationship. One of the most special and rewarding aspects of my job is to see couples repair, and grow together in their relationship.
