I have been a couple counsellor for 12 years. I was trained and accredited by Couple Counselling Scotland  ( The equivalent of Relationships Scotland today )  

I work as a couple counsellor both in private practice and in the voluntary sector . All my work is regulated by the strict code of ethics set up by the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists of which I am a member . This ensures that such measures as confidentiality are in place , enabling my clients to feel relaxed and supported .

In addition I have had experience working an employment support programme help line that gives me added insight into the problems associated with situations that arise in this area.

I am a painter and believe that this creative input acts as a complementary backdrop to my counselling . It enables me to better understand some of the frequent difficulties my clients struggle with in the areas of life/relationship /work balance. This is of particular relevance in the recent difficult financial climate .
