Is a Relate trained relationship counsellor seeing individuals and couples
Couple therapy aims to improve communication between each partner and helps them to understand their personalities and work towards resolving their difficulties. This process is about enriching and repairing relationships where couples may decide to stay together or separate.
Christine is an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and registered with United Kingdom Register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Her core training is in psychodynamic and systemic theory, which includes solution-focused work. She has also received additional training in cognitive behavioural therapy.
Christine is in her early fifties and has a grown up family.

. Solution focused therapy is brief work and builds on an individual's resources.
. Cognitive behaviour therapy offers the option of changing how you think in order to change how you feel.
Before beginning clinical practice Christine supervised advisers at a Citizens Advice Bureau and later specialised in benefits law representing clients with disabilities at a Law Centre. Moving into relationship counselling enabled her to further her work and provide a holistic way of working. Her focus is on promoting change in short term work.
She practices in Cheltenham, Cirencester and Stroud. Her fees are £37 from the Stroud practice and £40 per hour elsewhere per 60 minute session. Appointments may be available daytime evenings and weekends.
