 Dr John
Rowan has been working with couples for many years and has
written about couples in his book "Healing the Male Psyche".
He is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and a
founder member of the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology
Practitioners. He is also a Fellow of the British Association
for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
His
long and distinguished career means that he is highly qualified
and able to deal with complex problems which may be tougher
than average. He works in an integrative way which uses insights
from many different areas, including the primal and the transpersonal.
This means that he is able to meet a couple on their own ground,
without having to reduce them to a theory or dogma of any
kind.
He sees it as his job not to mend marriages or create divorces,
but to help people to come out of their distress with good
decisions which can be successfully maintained. His warmth
and openness make him easy to talk to.
