Couples come for help at different stages in their relationship; when the “magic” has worn off and you feel lost; when the very things that attracted you to one another now drive you crazy; when your differences overwhelm you and you become embroiled in conflict; when an affair comes to light; a crisis such as a partner questioning their sexuality; at different life stages, for example having a baby or children leaving home; when one or both partner is wondering whether to leave the relationship.
Whether you are in the midst of a crisis or experiencing a longer tem difficulty, my commitment is to ensure that both of you feel heard and validated and to help you to see your difficulties in a different context so that you can have a new and fresh perspective on what is happening.
I have worked as a therapist in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in private practice for 20 years, and have extensive training and experience in working with both individuals and couples. I work with same sex and heterosexual couples and with people from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. My practice is based in Hornsey, North London.
I am a Senior BACP accredited individual and couple counsellor and abide by their code of ethics.
