Moyra
Somerville
I
began training in counselling in 1984 and used a counselling
approach in my work as a guidance teacher in secondary schools.
Later, I trained and worked with Relate Scotland, becoming
formally accredited as a couple counsellor in 1995. Around
that time, I began to do private work and subsequently began
part-time work with a local authority staff counselling service.
Since then, I have worked in voluntary agencies offering couple
counselling and alcohol counselling, as well as continuing
to work in staff counselling settings, including the NHS.
I have also had a private practice throughout and currently
work part-time for a GP practice. I offer supervision to other
counsellors and have worked in counselling training for several
years.

supervision.
Currently,
I work from three locations in the Scottish Borders, all of
which offer wheelchair access and easy parking, as well as
being close to bus routes.
The first is my counselling room and office at home. The address
is "The Crummels", Acredale, Eyemouth, TD14 5TG.
The next is The Steading Complementary Health Centre in Ednam,
near Kelso, TD5 7QL. The third is Sorrowlessfield Centre,
