I
offer face-to-face counselling from my home in the ST17 post-code
area of Stafford and have a separate and very private consulting
room where free parking is readily available.
I
have ten years experience of counselling both couples and
individuals and also see clients referred to me by several
Employee Assistance Programmes who contract with businesses
and organisations to provide counselling for their workforce.
During
the past ten years I have worked with people in a wide variety
of settings including Local Government, Relate and a hospital
where I provided both long and short-term counselling.
I
started my original training with Relate in1997 and qualified
as a Couples Counsellor in 2000, going on to obtain my Graduate
Diploma in Counselling with Keele University.
I am also a member of the British Association of Counselling
and Psychotherapy and abide by their code of ethics.
Some
of the issues that my clients bring to counselling are:
- Abuse
- Relationship
and personal issues
- Depression/Anxiety
- Bereavement
and Loss issues
- Work
related and personal stress
- Eating
disorders
- Sexuality
Domestic violence
- Parenting
issues
- Step-families/parenting
- Bullying
and harassment
- Obsessive
Compulsive Disorder
- Addictions
I
offer each client respect, acceptance and confidentiality,
along with the time and space to explore issues in a safe
and non-judgemental environment.
If you would like to talk through or ask about any issues
which you perhaps feel could be helped by the counselling
process, please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
An initial telephone/email discussion may allow you to make
a more informed decision as to whether counselling is perhaps
right for you.
