My
Experience
I began with Relate in 1992 and have been counselling couples
continuously since then. My interest in and working knowledge
of couples and relationships has been extended through a continuous
programme of Professional Development. As a practitioner,
my experience has been enriched through working with clients
from diverse cultural and social backgrounds who have brought
wide ranging issues. I enjoy the work I do and feel hugely
privileged to share in and be a part of the courageous and
rewarding changes couples sometimes choose to make to their
lives.
How
I work
As an Integrative Counsellor, my work is underpinned by Psychodynamic,
Systemic and Adlerian ideas. A warm, trusting relationship
is fundamental to enabling clients to explore their difficulties
free of any judgement and I believe that working in a flexible,
creative and collaborative way brings opportunities for discovery,
choices and change. I offer both short-term and longer-term
counselling depending on what is mutually agreed during an
initial assessment meeting.
Where
I am
I have a comfortable consulting room in my home in the Mid Wales Borders. Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Welshpool and Lake Vyrnwy are all within easy reach. My client base comes from as far afield as Newtown, Aberystwyth, Maccynlleth & Dolgellau. Parking is free and easy.
My
fees
£35 per hour for Individuals
£40 per hour for Couples
£40 per hour for Supervision
Some concessions available
Additional £10 per session for all appointments after 6 pm
